Was able to do a tour in the Arctic a few years ago out of Fairbanks, Alaska to Purdhoe Bay, Alaska (10 hours). It was amazing. Several countries fall into it (US, Canada, Sweden,Russia, Finland) and was like 50 degrees F (the sun literally was up 24 hours) and took our jackets off. Caribou, whales, bull seals. 'Northern lights' were not habbening since so much sunlight sadly but was epic.
BTW: “Arctic” comes from the work “arktikos”, the Greek word for bear. The reason is that Ursa Major, the Great Bear constellation is one of the most prominent viewed in the northern sky.
