Personality-wise I don't really see Assange (though highly skilled in his field) staring down the Balrog and telling it that this shit stops now. Trump would always walk into a press gathering - aka a den of jackals - like a lion and remain focused and in control. The OP's well-thought-out description of the general allegory has Trump primarily as the king (fearless Aragon) and Assange as the wizard (as Gandalf working his magic always for noble causes). In the case of the battle with the Balrog, OP makes the analogy of what appears to be Trump's "fall" with Gandalf's - both of them dropping out of sight to continue to fight evil.
