At one family get together at my sister in laws house he went on a little rant about the family and how he was treated. I was an outsider really but I told him to shut the fuck up he was ruining the holiday and that the only reason he was treated poorly was because he invited it through his vile nature. That nobody gave a shit if he was gay or not. Thats when he called me a homophobe.

And so I called him a heterophobe loudly for everyone of the 20 or so of his family to hear. He shut the fuck up and stormed out of the house. A few in the family thanked me. I havent seen him since and this was 20 years or so ago. Me and his brother remain pretty tight though his living in Canada has made interacting personally a no go since covid.
