Muting stops you from seeing anything from a user you don’t like. Blocking stops a person you don’t like from seeing YOUR posts to your followers & other users. You could post things to your followers and have a jerk you muted but he/she can still see & post on your thread and your followers see it. We have the right of free speech, we & they don’t have a right to an audience. Banning the block gives people you don’t like the ability to read & respond to your posts. Isn’t there something about right of association? I would be okay with not banning advertisements from businesses. But not crazed people or bots. Of course, Twitter/X is still shadowbanning 🙄 Elon has moved on.
