"The same forces of good and righteousness exist today"

What good forces at the time of Jesus' death? There was and is only ONE good force of righteousness, the Holy Spirit.

Trump is no "Christ" and all men fail. There are some parts of this journey that overstep and, as a saved and born again Christian, there is a need to be careful. Deception rides both rails.

For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect. Behold, I have told you before.

The phrase here, 'false Christs' is rendered "false anointing." Some great personality killed/assassinated and miraculously reappears resurrected would more than likely result in massive worship of such a human as a deity and is not something I would wish to see. The above is a real possible outcome if they took that route to introduce the "precipice."

Therefore, the scenario postulated, though meant to keep us bold to the task/plan, is deeply spiritually troublesome.
