Both foxes and coyotes are easily brought in from wild and turned into pets under right conditions.
Both highly intelligent and like the easy living.
Also, unlike a male wolf, a fox and coyote will view you as the pack alpha.
Those wolves will never see you as pack alpha. Why they are dangerous as pets.
I grew up with my first dog was a coyote our family rescued from the black hills, Colorado.
She was amazing.
As kids, she would keep a very close eye on us and if we strayed from the backyard would herd us back home.
Her offspring were a bit too wild, tho. She mated with a German Shepard and one of them had to be put down because he liked to attack the mail man.
