Agreed, the federal government's job is to secure and protect our borders... When they refuse to do that, it falls to the states to do their job for them... When the states do just that, the Feds sue, threaten and even send in troops to dismantle what the states are doing ie. Texas using razor wire and the national guard coming in a cutting it down or Arizona using containers to build a barrier between Mexico and AZ and the feds suing them to take it down...
