Several States have sent Elements of their National Guard to assist in SAR and Ferrying Supplies.

Last I heard regarding the story about this particular Helicopter. The Story that started Circulating among some of the aid groups was it had a load of Generators due for delivery. The Flight Crew was exhausted and the Helicopter was low on Fuel. And they were lost and believed the aid station was the location they were due to land at. Apparently because of outdated/faulty maps/charts.

Whether that’s true or not is anyone’s guess
