Yes, I think an ATF boss should know about the communities and the business of firearms. Yes, an ATF boss should have Civil Liberties attorneys in his cell phone. He also seems bad azz enough to put the ATF on the straight & narrow. They can drop the alcohol & tobacco, become an organization that supports lawful gun owners, keeps stolen guns off the streets. It would be interesting to create the type of service that raises awareness of gun laws. Take the ATF in a whole different direction. What about militias? Connecting those groups as volunteer service support to law enforcement during emergencies. Give trainings & lawful guidance to militias, instead of being afraid of them. Would be good for eligible groups to have some training in service, protocol with a law enforcement entity that respects gun owners. Time gov’t started trusting the American people.
