Get the basics that you don't need to worry about "hording" so to speak:

• Water jugs or barrels for fresh water storage. Fuck the city regulations saying you cannot collect rain water as well. Regular bleach can also disinfect many gallons of water with only drops. They have great online charts to go off of.

• Keep one month worth of dried/canned foods in your pantry. MRE packets are another good option to keep around, especially if you camp.

• GENERATOR! If they shut down the internet, I wouldn't doubt they would force "rolling blackouts" on us as well.

• Keep a basic supply of medicine/first aid. Always good to have regardless.

• Most importantly, the old saying of "keep your powder dry" is vital. If SHTF, I expect mass looting and robbing going down. Make a small but trusted group in your area. We need to help each other out in a scenario like this.

Other than that, keep with your family and keep faith in God. I take breaks from reading anything to help keep level-headed. It also helps keep the emotions of anger at bay. Focus on yourself and your family, keep enough supplies on hand...God will handle the rest.
