My best friend responds with "alarm" I guess you could say. He knows things aren't right. He knows things I talk about are true and he agrees with a lot of it. But at a certain point, he gets extremely defensive (to the point of yelling) and doesn't want to talk about it. It's not that he doesn't want to talk about current events, it's a fear reaction I think. He doesn't want to face the reality of what's happening.
