I woke up this morning and I had been dreaming about the DUMBs. I've decided to gather my files and notes and organize them into a draft book. I might later write a novel where the bases are a significant element in the story.

I was thinking about the Europeans and concluded that if they had in their history any tunnels, it could not have used nuclear drillers if built before 1940s, so a question now is how they could have done it with only historical conventional technology? They have history of coal mining and minerals mining, but that is very labor-intensive. So I think they couldn't have done it before steam engines at minimum. Thus their tunnels would have to be closer to surface. But without sealed glass walls like ours, the tunnels would have flooded eventually. So how would they solve that. And no way they could go under ocean floor.

This morning I am writing up an engineering specification for tunnels and bases, to see where it will lead me. Am starting with required infrastructure. It gets hot tthe deeper you go into the earth. How to keep a base cool when you're 1 mile down? ? And for 1 mile deep tunnels, one has to have 5000 foot elevator system.

I suspect that the many worldwide events of weird resonant noise in the air are related to tunnel breaches (vacuum loss) escaping into the elevator system. And since the entrances have got to be on military bases or in the mountains, these come from those places.
