Thank you! I love questions 🙏 I'll do my best to share the wisdom the Lord has given me through His will. There's a lot on my mind about this, but I just got home from work and I have to take care of my kids, here are some quick thoughts. My first thought is that sometimes we try to put limits on what God is capable of. Secondly, we have to decide if we are righteous or is God righteous. I like to ask myself, do I want to be right or do I want God to be right? Also, what can I do, that God cannot? These are my beliefs and I'm always open to criticism. I rejoice in being proven 100 percent wrong, because then I know I've 100 percent found the truth 🙏

I believe that God is omnipotent, omnipresent and omniscient and because of that I believe that the Bible is divinely written. I believe that there were men God used to share His word, by writing letters with people of that time. I believe that those letters have persisted through God, because He also intended it to be shared with people of this time. I believe it would be limiting God, to believe He could not accomplish both things in His word. The Bible is the living word, which I believe means it will speak differently to us in different situations.

Hebrews 4:12

For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart.

2 Timothy 3:16-17

All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work...

I believe Jesus lived perfectly, so we can use Him as the greatest example. Something that we like to do as humans is make things too complicated, Jesus came to simplify. God first gave us 10 commandments, which were turned into a massive book of 613 laws(I might be mistaken, that's off the top of my head lol). There is a new covenant on Christ and Jesus said 2.

Mark 12:28-34

And one of the scribes came up and heard them disputing with one another, and seeing that he answered them well, asked him, “Which commandment is the most important of all?” Jesus answered, “The most important is, ‘Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ The second is this: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.” And the scribe said to him, “You are right, Teacher. You have truly said that he is one, and there is no other besides him. And to love him with all the heart and with all the understanding and with all the strength, and to love one's neighbor as oneself, is much more than all whole burnt offerings and sacrifices.” And when Jesus saw that he answered wisely, he said to him, “You are not far from the kingdom of God.” And after that no one dared to ask him any more questions...

So we are asked to love God first, it is the greatest commandment, and then others. But God says He is displeased when there is no justice, so how can we serve justice, when we are asked to only love? How shall we place judgement on others? If we do not share mercy, do we deserve mercy?

John 8:7 And as they continued to ask him, he stood up and said to them, “Let him who is without sin among you be the first to throw a stone at her...”

I am a sinner and I deserve death, I'm blessed that our God is a merciful God🙏

Romans 3:23

for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,

Romans 6:23

For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord...

I believe if we place judgement on others, we condemn ourselves for we are also of sin. If we do not show others forgiveness and mercy, will we receive it?

Matthew 7:1-2 “Judge not, that you be not judged. For with the judgment you pronounce you will be judged, and with the measure you use it will be measured to you.

People tend to use the cleansing of the Temple as an excuse for violence, but I believe Jesus he didn't bring harm to anyone. He only spoke truth and drove people out of His father's house.

John 2:15-16

When He had made a whip of cords, He drove them all out of the temple, with the sheep and the oxen, and poured out the changers’ money and overturned the tables. And He said to those who sold doves, “Take these things away! Do not make My Father’s house a house of merchandise!”

God asks us to take up His armor, the only weapon is the sword, which is the word of God. The rest is defensive.

Ephesians 6:10-18

Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm. Stand therefore, having fastened on the belt of truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and, as shoes for your feet, having put on the readiness given by the gospel of peace. In all circumstances take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming darts of the evil one; and take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God, praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. To that end, keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints...

Do I believe there is anything wrong with punishing people who do wrong? No, I absolutely believe people should be punished, but within the same rules that I believe I should be punished. We have to be careful with any laws that we create, anything we create for good will be corrupted and most likely used against us. That is how evil works. Satan is still prince of the power of the air and ruler of this world until Jesus comes back again to reign.

Ephesians 2:2

in which you once walked, following the course of this world, following the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that is now at work in the sons of disobedience—
