What the Bible says:

Paul told Timothy that a little wine was good... "No longer drink only water, but use a little wine for the sake of your stomach and your frequent ailments." 1 Timothy 5:23

Also, perhaps this is to what you refer: Jesus was speaking to the crowds of what was SAID about him because He associated with prostitutes, drunkards, tax collectors, etc. Their argument was "guilt by association ". He associated with them because, " And the Pharisees and their scribes grumbled at his disciples, saying, “Why do you eat and drink with tax collectors and sinners?”

And Jesus answered them, “Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick." Luke 5:31 ESV

Or this re: drunkenness accusation: "When the day of Pentecost arrived, they were all together in one place. Re: devils...
