I'm thinking positive about busting up Cali, but not as the proposed photo shows here. I would adopt a three different states; lower, middle & upper areas. This would break up the 55 electoral college votes, which basically wins presidential elections. Democrats know if they lose Cali & TX, NY & FL they will never win another election - ever! So 55 divided by 3 (population in each state of Cali) would be roughly 18-19 votes per state. Granted the majority of residents live in LA areas & upper SF areas.

Puerto Rico should become a state, too.
