Also, the SC clerk was pushing them to deliver the petition ASAP... so the delay until January is a bit surprising.

I looked at their calendar for conferences... Dec 2, Dec 9 were the next two available, followed by Jan 6th being the first date after the holiday break, I guess.

I have not been able to find the case in a calendar for Jan 6th... where are you seeing that? Just curious.
