Please explain to me what is supposed to happen if McCarthy doesn't abide by the "rules" and what will actually happen? If those two questions seem the same, I assure you they're not.

In the first instance you'd have to define what breaking the rules means. Example: MAGA assumes investigations begin immediately. Now if one of the MAGA six had their way, they would start the same day new members are sworn in. But McCarthy would say the committee members need to be picked after thorough background checks...can't be too careful. I'm sure he'll want to double and triple check everything and have his lawyers review. Then he'd want a committee to decide which news organizations to allow into the hearing room. Then the Homeland Security meetings would start with the Capitol Police to decide security protocols for members and staff. Then members would have to come up with a plan to execute so everyone is prepared and practiced with their questions and answers. Naturally that plan would have to be studied in great detail and revised by McCarthy. This is followed by negotiation sessions to finalize the plan.

With the plan of battle in place, now the blanks in said plan need filled in. Who will be called to testify? Order of Appearance? Negotiation sessions to finalize the witnesses. What experts do we need to have at the ready? Fact Checkers, Lawyers and legal scholars, economists, Department heads? Military? Medical? On and on. Trump as speaker would say it must all be done in one week. With McCarthy as Speaker, it would take a week to decide who's allowed in the room. To actually start the actual first witness would probably be close to a year. Now if this is true, would McCarthy be breaking the rules that say he must hold hearings? MAGA would say hell yes. McCarthy and RINOS would say he's being judicious and cautious. MAGA would scream he's foot dragging. McCarthy and RINOS would say he's being very thorough and precise in his actions.

Get the picture? This supposed agreement is a loose outline of things he's expected to do. By the time the first witness is called, the Congress will need to campaign for re-election. I hope to hell I'm wrong on this but I don't think I will be. With a RINO speaker there is no agenda to find bad guys. They are all bad guys trying to avoid being outed. While nothing is getting done in righting wrongs, many more wrongs will be committed. More time for the LGBTQ oriented teachers to indoctrinate our kids. More time for dark money to disappear from one place only to re-appear in another, More illegals flooding in. More tax increases planned. More drugs that can come into the country.

This is how things will be done in DC when a RINO is Speaker. I sure hope whoever made up the list of things being "ceded" also got the 3000 pages of details that must be adhered to as well. Somehow I don't think it was discussed. And that folks is why those DC strategists and wordsmiths are so important. They could sell ice to Eskimos. They will explain away every delay as an opportunity to "get it right". They will justify every expense. They will sync with MSM to capture the most salient and digestible pieces of the day to follow the 4AM talking points they all received. MAGA wants and is expecting red meat. What MAGA will be getting is a Hollywood production on how tasty and nutritious Pablum actually is for building strong bodies and minds..
