What I hope: legit accident, on the part of the Russian pilot and drone pilot. Navigation error, equipment failure or marketing, slow reaction time, etc.

What I (unfortunately) suspect: Drone pilot following orders, crashes into Russian fighter. Blame the Russians, gives excuse to escalate.

What I think probable really happened: drone engaged fighter pilot (or pilot engaged drone) , dogfight ensues, both shot down, no one wants to admit defeat. Humans being humans. Soldiers being soldiers. Politicians being their usual selves and trying to cover their own arse.

What I don't suspect: Russian pilot decides to kamikaze unmanned drone, cuz 'muh Russia', or whatever the hell other fairy tale the PTB will spin.
