Huh, this is kind of a random interesting read. I haven't seem much with McQueen. I thought Bullitt was very boring and remember nothing about it other than the legendary car chase scene. And he's famous in car circles for "Le Mans." But it turns out he sounds like he was a real tit.
The part about the Towering Inferno is amazing. Like anyone remembers that turd. I actually thought it was made-for-TV but that turns out not to be the case LOL.
Edit: Some are young enough to not know about/remember this genre. It included things like Airport, Airport '79 (yes a sequel)(no this is not the Airplane movies that parodied this shit), Fire, Earthquake, Bug (I am not making this up)....
The Kentucky Fried Movie nailed it with this parody of the genre.
