In that state it's all thought based, you don't need to move to speak. It is basically the edge of out of body. You spirit or energy body is still in your body but not attached fully or engaged. It's quite common to lots of the non western world.
That is actually a very powerful state of mind that people who meditate strive to reach. I have done so a few times. Pick up Journeys Out of the Body book by Robert Monroe. It is a very suggestive state where if you are scared you can see lots of scary things but conversely if you are peaceful and welcoming it can really blow your mind. Did you ever feel vibrations or energy flowing through your body?
I believe it's like tarot cards or astrology. If you take any complex data and seek to know something, the universe or God or some higher creation can send you data even on future events that are likely. It's just a tool to access that data that is out there for any of us to see if we know how. Some people have precognition in dreams or talk to angels or look up Akashic records while in an out of body state. The future is not yet written but the system damn sure knows probabilities on nearly every outcome.
