Yes, read the whole first 5 chapters of Isaiah. The ungodly are in effect saying of God, "Do something!" And the Lord through Isaiah says, "Woe to you! You're going to see some things and you won't like it." A dominant theme in Isaiah is how the idols are empty and worthless but the God of Israel not only predicts the future but makes it happen.

Hebrews chapter 1 might help. The author explains how Jesus is the last and best of God's revelation. Better than the prophets and even better than the angels.
