Yes! My mother remarried in her 60s after my dad passed away. Her second husband was a truck driver who was also a veteran. He lost his right leg from cancer (amputation). The IRS audited him maliciously and viciously for weeks while he was trying to recover from the cancer and amputation. He was also denied disability even though he was a truck driver with no right leg. He passed away soon after. ZERO mercy from the government for a veteran and hardworking taxpayer for decades.
