The guys is pointing at it to get Trump to look at it, and at first it did look like a piece of paper attached to it like he wanted Trump to sign it. But after zooming in, the white blockiness does just seem like the phone screen. But it does look thicker than a normal phone. Weird indeed. and when it breaks open, it does look like cellphone components.
I can't think of why someone would do that maliciously, they could have easily pelted the phone at him. I don't see the purpose of it being a test run either, to see how the secret service would react, you'd just make them more cautious.

I tested it now, If you bring up the Q post via a direct link it won't show the media keywords. But if you find the post by searching any words, even those not included in the media keywords, it will display the media keywords.
But for those wondering, the Q post is legit, and was not altered after the shooting. "Edited post July13th" just means the media keywords were added to.
