Raised beds definitely reduce the weeds. Worms do the best composting of food scraps, yard scraps, etc.. I keep in garage thru winter in big plastic tubs.
Potatoes grow well with little care. Most root vegetables are best as less bug problem. Cucumbers and Okra don't seem to have much bug problem. Not sure that a hog will eat a cucumber.

You make some good points, but not everyone can be on the front-line and each should contribute as best they can, sending letters, posting memes, stand-up demonstrators, sending funds to help. keeping the home fires burning, encouraging others, bringing legal claims, etc.... in whatever ways we are blessed.
Eventually everyone will need to exercise their free will to CHOOSE - Tyranny or Liberty -

unfortunately the IRS operates the same way. You are automatically guilty and funds are seized until you can prove you are innocent. The existing tax law complexity insures that no one can possibly comply with every provision hence making everyone guilty.

There are many community gardens where some grow vegetables and you can volunteer and learn from others. Our town has raised beds with different groups in charge of specific areas.
