The writers seem to be at the Jr High or high school level. The dialog is so dumb and annoying that you can’t take it seriously ( 50 year old The Rock saying “I have no fucks left to give!”) made me turn the channel.
The other issue is that most new movies have no characters that are the good guy. All the people have various ugly qualities and are not even trying to do what is right.

One show even featured a Muslim woman (fire-rescue show) in fill make-up and head scarf diving off a bridge to save a goofy white couple that drove their car into the water.

I went to a megachurch because my wife wanted to go. They had a black visiting pastor there to tell us all about how the police harassed his son.
