Parler is being shut down by Amazon so the app or website won't do any good.

Video doesnt have enough resolution to read them from what I can see. From the pictures I've seen, they're new. Possibly pandemic related??

It's possible to take down the sites without taking down the internet. Easy? No. They're so intertwined with every other site it would take some time to get it done correctly. CDNs, Geo-redundant data centers... Yeah.

Easiest way would be to take down the internet... But even then if you just shut down/disabled DNS it would be just as effective. How many people know the IPs of their favorite site... 1/100000? Even then, some web hosts require headers and refuse to serve when an IP is entered.

Someone would have to build it. The domain name "libertarian.win" has already been purchased by someone, but the .win domains typically cost a couple thousand or so just for the name. That doesn't even take into account the infrastrucutre (server, network, etc) costs.

Not necessarily harder to get to in the aspect of visiting the site, but definitely harder to "censor"... It would require getting the actual ISP to terminate to shut them down.

That or a massive DDOS attack to make the service "unusable". Depends on if they're using a DDOS service such as cloudflare, load balancers, and what their topology looks like.

I don't know about DoD servers. The gateway I just hit is based out of a hosting company in Japan.

They are all part of the ".win" "network":

TheDonald.win OmegaCanada.win GavinMcInnes.win ConsumeProduct.win KotakuInAction.win KotakuInAction2.win WeekendGunnit.win GreatAwakening.win IP2Always.win TuckerCarlson.win Conspiracies.win

They use SSO (Single-Sign-On) - authentication.win to keep the same username across all sites.

From my understanding, they do not use the same hosts, etc but do use Cloudflare to prevent against DDOS attacks, etc.

I'm in IT and I've never been a fan of the "cloud".

Nah, the blinds are just raised above the top of the pic. You can see that in the reflection. Curtains match.
