They do have nukes, dont forget that. Its precisely weak leaders that are more likely to respond with nukes

The added context is helpful. Still an interesting coincidence on timing, perhaps Trump knew of their planned exercises and has ramped things up just in time to use the planned EU missions as news coverage and making EU look weak to the people by the sudden "withdrawal" that was already planned

It doesnt matter how weak or how strong, it absolutely would ignite a world war to attack europe

Everyone who's shamelessly addicted to AI say the same things.

You're just not using it right, you just havent figured it out yet. Clearly youre not a pro at this like I am.

You dont get as animated as i am without a solid grasp on AI. Ive been a software developer since before it existed, and im still one now, 5 years into this AI mess. (The concept of an LLM has been around a lot longer than 5 years; but 5 years ago is when the first commercially viable model was released)

Ive integrated AI into my daily life. I use it every day, for what it is: a tool. Its running practically 24/7 during my workday - ive got it writing unit tests, executing them, fixing them when they break. Ive got it refactoring code into shared services, writing some front end code. Its pretty damn good at insanely specific tasks.

What it simply cannot do, is handle the human element. Leaning back and thinking; dissecting requirements for a feature, then deciding what to do and where in the code to put the feature. It cant understand what a human needs, it cant understand what a human feels, it doesn't understand any humans viewpoint or worldview, which is why it fails at implementing a feature that works end to end in the application. It doesnt understand what makes a user interface tick, or what's intuitive for humans

I dont use AI to form my opinions. My opinions are my own, they didnt get formed for me, or hardened, or refined, or whatever it is you want to call what youre doing here. The AI is not built for that. Its not capable of understanding the world or understanding humans.

You "wrestling" ai into submission, is you simply forcing it to validate your beliefs. Its a form of hedonism, really.

I do mind, and its obvious. Its weak and lazy.

It's leveraging different analytical frameworks against each other.

They are not analytical frameworks

You keep saying things like that which just prove you massively misunderstand AI and what's actually happening when you send it messages.

Its quite literally analyzing nothing. It assigns weights to words and picks one thats statistically likely to come next based on those weights and its training data. Which is why it hallucinates things, sometimes the next word that should appear is the wrong one, and its based on a tweet referencing a chicken casserole recipe. It knows nothing, literally.

I wasn't claiming absolute truth. I was presenting a valid opinion to see if it resonates with others.

Thats objectively false. And the problem here is youre gonna have to go reread what someone else wrote down as your opinion, you cant just respond since you didnt even write what im referring to. Not a single time did you attempt to clarify why the AI was saying what its saying; you simply presented it as objective analysis. No maybes, no possiblies, just straight: here's the deal on Israel

I believe there's more Twitter slop weakening this forum

That Twitter slop makes up a significant portion of your AI's "knowledge" base. That and reddit...

Im salty that a turd is perfectly polished? Doesnt make it not a turd

2
ILearnedToCode 2 points ago +2 / -0

Ive seen it in my coworkers - once they integrate AI too heavily into their workflow, they cant go without it anymore. These are developers who were perfectly qualified 5 years ago. If you took AI away now, they somehow wouldn't be qualified anymore

Calculator != AI

Comparing the invention of the calculator to that of AI, and rationalizing that the calculator didnt make people stupid therefore AI also won't, is asinine. They are so insanely different.

Calculators are objective - basic arithmetic. Cpu's excel at these types of computations.

AI is subjective - theres no concrete algorithm to conclusively "decide" anything. An AI one day could think 10+10 is 20, then the next day it might think 10+10 is 30. Theres no rhyme or reasoning to it.

Studies are coming out showing those that use AI too frequently and grow to depend on it become stupider and less qualified at their job. It gets to a point where you cant make decisions without it.

Yeah AI thinks about nothing and understands nothing, nothing quite sums that up better than the recommendation to put 1/8 of a cup of glue into your pizza

This is another thing I keep pointing out to people, we have AI because we took pretty much everything on the internet and fed it in... now so much content is AI generated, that starting soon, AI will enter a sort of downward spiral in terms of the quality of its content.

We are so fucked if people start to rely on AI (they already are, including many on this site)

1
ILearnedToCode 1 point ago +1 / -0

I will tell you a secret. Its incredibly obvious when people use AI for their posts, and its ruining this site. Im simply one of the people more vocal about it.

Most users on this site do not want AI posts, because they are lazy and low effort. And its obvious enough to those aware of what's happening when they see an AI post. I can usually tell from the first sentence alone.

If u/DarQ2light has great insights, he should post those insights as they are and discuss them with the community, not bounce them around in his own little personal echo chamber first until it comes out as a perfectly polished turd.

If mods dont get a handle on the AI issue, traffic here will continue to die and you wont ever have a clue why. You'll probably just be stuck discussing why with your AI chatbots lol

2
ILearnedToCode 2 points ago +2 / -0

No, it isnt. And im going to pull a single word from his post to prove it

"We"

Why is the chatbot using "we"?

"We didnt just save Israel for last" "We saved truth for last"

Thats all you need to know how his prompts looked. This is not any sort of crazy critical analysis - this is pure feel good echo chamber level validation. The AI was led to this "answer"

Common sense and an understanding about how AI works, and how data can be used in applications

5
ILearnedToCode 5 points ago +5 / -0

Thats exactly my fucking point. You hammered AI until you had an acceptable answer, and here we are. You can get an AI to say literally anything - with the right prompting.

I could wrestle with 4 ai chat bots and come out the other side with eloquent texts explaining how unlikely it is that Q is real, just as easily as I can get it to explain how Q definitely is real

You can get AI to think Obama is innocent, and you can get it to think that Obama is guilty.

You can get AI to think the sky is red, just as easily as you can convince it the sky is blue.

"Dissecting" events with an AI is like PCR testing - run enough cycles, and it'll return a false positive on anything

3
ILearnedToCode 3 points ago +3 / -0

Wrong - I use it daily and understand it well. What i dont do is chat with it and have conversations, for the reasons I keep commenting about. Its a tool, not a partner, nor a conversationalist

So should we just rename greatawakening to the AI copypasta and downdetector wannabe site?

What the actual fuck is happening here? Every other post is either AI copy/paste, or about some site going down for a few minutes.

People here make fun of the protesters for not having jobs... do any of you guys have jobs??? How is this what all the posts are today?

3
ILearnedToCode 3 points ago +3 / -0

X goes down Quite literally all the time

As does grok

As do other AI systems

As does Verizon

As do all carriers from time to time

Im on verizon, in an outage area, connected and functional.

This shit happens ALL THE TIME

Ffs these posts are so stupid. If we are in 10 days of darnkess, you'll know. It will be impossible to even make a post like this

The router can remain functional, while having errors with some processes on specific ports. An error in a process running on a specific port would not cause the whole router to fail, it just means a certain port wouldnt be able to accept any traffic...
