If that's 12.99 Canadian, it's $9.62 US. Still a lot for strawberries. And yes - way out of season. Price should come down when no one buys them.

OMG, you are right. I have had a hard time finding Vitamin A last couple years. Its usually sold out or just not there.

Also, my husband (chiropractor 40 years) strongly recommends the use of zinc and vitamin A at the first sign of symptoms because zinc makes it difficult for viruses to replicate (and I believe he said that the A helps zinc get into cells). All I know is that it works for me every time!

He also recommends the long-standing remedy of gargling with warm salt water. It works!

I'm not going to engage in theological debate with someone who doesn't know me or other faithful Catholics - and likely not much about the catholic faith.

And who are you to tell me that I don't obey Jesus! I'm too much of a Christian to say anything else.

11.5% of regular offertory collections are sent to our diocese - at least that's the percentage in our diocese. Not sure about those that are earmarked for a specific purpose if the diocese taps those too.

Yes! Well, my son and daughter-in-law will at least have a great view of our rather large, 4' long Last Supper framed print while they eat. :)

My son, who is coming from out of state with his wife and toddler - who hasn't been here in over 2 years to visit - just texted me and asked that I don't bring up religion or politics.

Totally agree. I only trust naturopaths and chiropractors.

I dont trust Bergoglio either. (Catholic here.) Most of the truly faithful and awakened Catholics I know don't trust him either.

The church has been under greater attack for the last century. For those who haven't heard about the 100 years granted to satan, you can "duck, duck, go" it...this is excerpted from catholicnewsagency:

"On October 13, 1884 (which is exactly 33 years prior to the Miracle of the Sun in Fatima) Pope Leo XIII, just after celebrating Mass, turned pale and collapsed as though dead. Those standing nearby rushed to his side. They found him alive but the pontiff looked frightened. He then recounted having a vision of Satan approaching the throne of God, boasting that he could destroy the Church.

According to Pope Leo XIII the Lord reminded him that his Church was imperishable. Satan then replied, “Grant me one century and more power of those who will serve me, and I will destroy it.” Our Lord granted him 100 years.

The Lord then revealed the events of the 20th century to Leo XIII. He saw wars, immorality, genocide and apostasy on a large scale. Immediately following this disturbing vision, he sat down and wrote the prayer to St. Michael."

Mary is not worshipped. She is revered...as the mother of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Just like Christ Himself would honor His mother. (Like the commandment tells us to do.)

Yes - many saints have written accounts of seeing Mary or someone else only to have it turn out to be satan. You tell the veracity of an apparition by its goodness and its "fruit".

Fatima produced tens of thousands of believers. Not something satan would want. Same with the apparitions happening over the last 42 years in Medjugorje. Hundreds of thousands have repented from sin and converted to Christianity.

Do you REALLY think it's a good idea to insult a statue of Our Lord's mother?

When's your appointment with the eye doctor?

Through his prophet Julie Green, God has said that everything that can be shaken, will be shaken. Amen.

That's kind of like my sister who remembers some Greek from when my father would speak in Greek...but they are all of the swear words.
