I respect that. What do you see as major differences in the meaning? Can you give a different example?
I agree that Satan is crafty and often includes part of the truth in his lie. What is your point?
Do you not like the Septuagint, or you don't like the Greek NT? You don't want Jesus to be divine? You want to discount the whole Bible? Where are we going with this? I don't think we can do an exhaustive critique analysis on this forum.
All I know is Jesus saved me when I was 7 years old. He has been my faithful friend and companion my whole life. When I was 48, (I think it was), I asked for the gift of tongues and Holy Spirit gave it to me. I am aware that deceiving spirits can cause people to pray in tongues, too, but I asked for it from God, and I am certain that He would not give me an evil spirit instead. I know that I know that I know, and am willing to die for this confession, that Jesus Christ is King of Kings, and one day, "every knee shall bow and every tongue confess that He is Lord, to the glory of the Father. "
Peace, fren.
I'm not understanding what you mean here. Will you please elaborate/ explain?
Those verses are all in agreement, and I absolutely claim the divinity of Christ. God is the He, and so is Jesus.
Jesus said, "If you've seen me, you've seen the Father. "
The actual words might not be identical, but the meaning is the same. It would be the same if you translated into other languages. Sometimes there is not a word for word way to say it in another language, but that doesn't change the truth being communicated.
This shows a terrible lack of faith in God. Do you not think if He wanted to give us the message He could not preserve it through the ages against hostile jamming? These kinds of claims are contrived, often to deny the deity of Christ or one of the basic tenets of Christianity. What you really need is the Holy Spirit. The Bible is not like other books, and we don't have space to debate everything here. The Bible is a supernatural book, and you need the Holy Spirit to truly help you understand it. But you don't have to climb a mountain or do some great feat to get Him. You just need to sincerely ask Jesus to save you, to give Him your life, and ask Him to give you Holy Spirit. He will reveal Himself to you, but God doesn't play games, and He knows if you are not sincere.
You're getting hung up on where the verses are marked. The original texts didn't have chapters and verses, but they are helpful for references. If you go to the You Version Bible app, choose 1 John 5:7-8, click on to highlight, then choose compare at the bottom, you can see about 9 versions, and they all pretty much agree. I don't read Hebrew yet, but I have been reading the Bible through several times, choosing a different version each time, and while there are a few differences, they don't change the overall meaning of the passage.
Praying for you all!
Discovered this channel on YT. People are telling their stories about meeting Jesus! Very good quality and inspiring! https://youtu.be/Y4pto3M2750
From Dutch Sheets:
We decree that America was founded by God, under an appeal to heaven, and that an appeal to heaven will give us a rebirth!
We decree that we are a voice for Him to the ends of the earth, and the gospel of the kingdom will go forth from America to all people!
We decree that we are a Christian nation, founded under Christ’s blood and rule, and that we have no king but Jesus!
We decree that Yahweh is our Lawgiver, our Judge, and our King, and that our three branches of government were founded under this truth! (Isaiah 33:22) They will return to this!
We decree we are a city on a hill, shining God’s light to all the earth, and that darkness will not win!
We decree that God’s mercy over America endures forever, that His mercies are new every morning!
We decree that He who began a good work in us will complete it, that God had a plan for our restoration before we even turned against Him!
We decree that nothing can stop this turnaround because our trust is in God! This is even on our currency! We agree with it!
We decree that God’s redeeming power is greater than satan’s deceiving lies, and that His truth will prevail!
We decree that salvation belongs to God and that he loves to save, taking no pleasure in judgment!
We decree that we are seated with Christ, and that satan is under our feet. We are far above all principalities, powers, and rulers of darkness!
We decree that we are Christ’s Ekklesia/government on earth and that we have His keys of authority to bind and loose, open and close.
We decree that no weapon formed against America, nor against the purposes of God in our generation, will prosper.
We decree that America shall be saved!!!
America was raised up by God to be a city on a hill, a beacon of light to all nations.
America was called to preach the gospel of the Kingdom to all nations of the earth.
America is one nation, under God. We have put our trust in Him and no other. We have no king but Jesus.
The “Laws of Nature and of Nature's God;” an appeal to the “Supreme Judge of the world;” “the Creator;” and “divine Providence” are all in our Declaration of Independence. We decree that, as a part of this legal document that birthed our nation, they remain true today. We declare them into the atmosphere of America!
Leviticus 25:10 is on the Liberty Bell: “Proclaim liberty throughout the land to all the inhabitants thereof.” This verse, describing Christ as America’s jubilee Redeemer, rang out at our birth, announcing our faith and our destiny. We declare its message over America again today: Christ is our Redeemer! Proclaiming His message is our purpose!
America is in covenant with God, He keeps covenant and mercy, and AMERICA SHALL BE SAVED!
I really think you would find this encouraging to hear about using the authority Jesus gave us to wage war in the spiritual realm!
That's figurative.
I have read the Bible several times. I generally agree with Chuck Missler that mostly we err by not taking the Bible literally enough. However, I have not read anything that I don't think can't be interpreted poetically. Four corners of the earth could be the 4 cardinal direction, not 4 literal corners, etc.
Will checknit out! Thanks!
Lots of 17's near barcoding.
Agreement with your prayer!
Side note: God chose Jonah (knowing how he would react) because He wanted to set up "the sign of Jonah" see below for Jesus to refer to later. Also, Jonah was the only prophet to win the repentance of the entire city. Not even Elijah did that.
[Then some of the scribes and Pharisees said to Him, “Teacher, we want to see a sign (attesting miracle) from You [proving that You are what You claim to be].” But He replied and said to them, “An evil and adulterous generation [that is morally unfaithful to God] craves and demands a [miraculous] sign; but no sign will be given to it except the sign of the prophet Jonah; for just as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of the sea monster, so will the Son of Man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth. The men of Nineveh will stand up [as witnesses] at the judgment against this generation, and will condemn it because they repented at the preaching of Jonah; and now, something greater than Jonah is here. Les Mills on demand is only about $15/month and they have lots of different workouts. My DH was an instructor for a while at some YMCA'S and other places, but we now get on demand with Roku.
Or they just had a poor plot. 🤷♀️
Was visiting family last week so I went along to see Thor. It was silly at best, (and not funny as Guardians, imho), and felt disjointed. TDLR: The brainwashing message said by satanic looking villain to kidnapped children, and aimed at everyone, "Your gods are terrible and there is no eternal reward at the end of life." Thor also glibly joked that the "gods don't eat children anymore. Those were some dark days." On top of that, Spoiler alert: the girl he adopts at the end is a spoiled brat and there is no real chemistry between them, odd in light of the fact that it's Helmsworth's daughter in real life.
Well, I think you can reference scripture with scripture, so you and I will just have to disagree and let Jesus sort it out because I do not see the disagreement between the verses.
