You are misreading the post. They used impeachment last year to interfere - remember this post was before COVID. They used Mueller to interfere in 2018, and FISA to interfere in 2016. I think your heard is in the right place, but I disagree with your analysis here.

If the military is capable of building fake tanks and fake bases and letting fake information be intercepted to fool Hitler and throw him off-guard before invading Normandy, they are certainly capable of releasing information like this to protect a plan that has not yet been made public.
