Dear frens, I am feeling compelled and led by the spirit of Christ to send out an SOS for a patient I see regularly.

Without giving specifics, he is in a really, really bad place. He served for many years during Bush/Clinton/Obama era in the Middle East and obviously has some really horrible experiences.

Please pray for release from the horror he saw. Name him as Patriot X. Our good Lord will know him, and all others in the same spot.

They all need our prayers.

I don’t expect this discussion to be finished tonight, not even this week.

For background, I just watched it for the first time all the way to the end. It took courage for me because I don’t like the battle scenes, blood and gore.

But I did see so many correlations to our forefathers fighting the American Revolution, and even the Civil War.

I’m left with William Wallace’s war cry …”FREEDOM”!

So what does that really mean?

Freedom to chose a product on Amazon that is most likely made outside America, or freedom to express yourself as an individual without persecution? Or freedom from anyone telling you that you must follow their lead so you can “win”…

There are so many thoughts to reflect on from watching this movie.

I would like others who have seen the movie to give their thoughts.

My husband called me as he was leaving to go snowmachining and saw a large number of police heading up the mountain to the road behind us. EMS parked at the bottom of the mountain.

Tried finding a police scanner app to see if I could hear anything, but apps are crap.

I texted another neighbor who’s retired firefighter, but they didn’t have a scanner either.

Their son is current firefighter and gave us an update - gunshot inside a residence.

But this makes me realize that even though we have been looking at getting a scanner for a while, we haven’t been looking diligently.

Hoping someone here can recommend a solid unit?

My SIL is having to have a total hysterectomy with removal of fallopian tubes and overies as a precaution for atypical hyperplasia.

I feel honored that she asked me to come be with her for the procedure and early recovery since her husband can’t take time off and the kids are out of state. I was already planning on coming down to visit so the timing of this is perfect.

Anyway, she is feeling a little down in the dumps because she thinks she won’t be a woman without her reproductive organs.

I get it, those organs ARE what make us women - but also every other cell in our bodies because they are all XX.

When I suggested that she is a woman through and through because of all those other XX chromosomes in the cells that make up the rest of her body, the light went off. It literally was an ahah moment :-)

Just as any XY person can’t be a woman, she won’t lose her womanhood because of her procedure.

Just sharing for anyone else out there who may have women in their lives dealing with the same procedure.

I know you shouldn’t ask investment advice over the internet, but I’m hoping to get a drive by consult from anyone more familiar than me in investments.

My hubby and I have a really good secure plan for if SHTF, he can support me even if I don’t work. I just went to part time as an RN so I only work two 12’s a week, just to keep our health insurance since he is a successful small business owner.

My question is, if SHTF soon, should I divest in my retirement now, take the hit, and put what ever is left in more precious metals? (We have PM and plenty of other assorted precious metals ;-)

We have heavily invested in property. Most all is owned outright now.

Neither one of us have really been a fan of stocks - but since my company would match up to 6% of what I put in, I’ve been putting in 10% for many years. It was a decent sum until today 😂🤷‍♀️ - hate to think of at least the capital I put in being lost…
