When you checkmate the king it's the end of the game. So yes it comes last.
Pawns are often used to block the other players moves so it's a good strategy to take them out so you can better move around the board.
Bishop rooks and knights come next because there are more of them and harder to control due to the ways they move.
Queen is mid to last because she is hard to rake out cause she can move all over the board so easily. Queen cab move any direction however they want. So you gotta trap her so she doesn't slowly take out your pieces.
King Control the pieces because once you lose him it's game over. So all other pieces goal is to protect the king. Therefore they are controlled.

My job is to do the will of the Father by following Jesus Christ through the leading of the Holy spirit..not simply to point out truth, but to understand the battle taking place is bigger then anyone people group. "We battle not against flesh and blood"

If the military wanted that then I believe they would have just came out in the beginning with the arrest. The slow playing is them allowing people to wake up that will fill the voids so they don't have to
Taking down the deep state is only part of the plan. What good is removing them if the people aren't awake and ready to fill the void that is left. I doubt the military wants to run things for a long period after the arrest. They much rather have people that wanna step up and take back some of the roles that the deep state took over.
