Where have I heard those words before? Somebody's script?
I think Democrat leadership's plan fell right into the hands of the white hats' bigger plan. There was little need for white hats to have control over Democrat leadership; a mere tweak here and there would have kept this denouement on track. My analysis indicates it's pretty wild.

Article. [XXV.] [Proposed 1965; Ratified 1967]
Section. 1. In case of the removal of the President from office or of his death or resignation, the Vice President shall become President.
Section. 2. Whenever there is a vacancy in the office of the Vice President, the President shall nominate a Vice President who shall take office upon confirmation by a majority vote of both Houses of Congress.
Section. 3. Whenever the President transmits to the President pro tempore of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives his written declaration that he is unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office, and until he transmits to them a written declaration to the contrary, such powers and duties shall be discharged by the Vice President as Acting President.
Section. 4. Whenever the Vice President and a majority of either the principal officers of the executive departments or of such other body as Congress may by law provide, transmit to the President pro tempore of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives their written declaration that the President is unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office, the Vice President shall immediately assume the powers and duties of the office as Acting President. Thereafter, when the President transmits to the President pro tempore of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives his written declaration that no inability exists, he shall resume the powers and duties of his office unless the Vice President and a majority of either the principal officers of the executive department or of such other body as Congress may by law provide, transmit within four days to the President pro tempore of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives their written declaration that the President is unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office. Thereupon Congress shall decide the issue, assembling within forty-eight hours for that purpose if not in session. If the Congress, within twenty-one days after receipt of the latter written declaration, or, if Congress is not in session, within twenty-one days after Congress is required to assemble, determines by two-thirds vote of both Houses that the President is unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office, the Vice President shall continue to discharge the same as Acting President; otherwise, the President shall resume the powers and duties of his office.

Maybe Biden was the Red October commander who is successfully defecting, and now suddenly the whole crew agrees with abandoning and scuttling the ship!

They never thought he would lose.
Hooray! We finally convicted Biden! I did not know.
Yes, I do downvote people when I disagree and have sufficiently demonstrated their reasoning is fallacious. Since you seem to take it uberseriously, I have no need to demonstrate your further illogic. Best wishes on your 46th president.
Though one can say the hyphen invites interpretation as a range, this inference is not implicit, as it can also be understood to represent an en dash illustrating a relationship between two (among many) things, as in the example "Radical–Unionist coalition".
It's also ultimately rather irrelevant who is the 46th president, because the indication is that Trump's script is that he plans to be the 47th and that means he is not planning surprises for Biden, and articles now are confirming such a surprise would be logistically near-impossible.
The dash can be used to mean "and".
The much bigger comms are that nobody else is expected to be 47, i.e., plan A is now that Biden will still be "president" until noon on the 20th. This detail was not as certain in prior years.
MATH ABUSE ALERT
Newsweek interviews an average of 60 people from each state on three axes only, and then ranks them 1-50 with no ties and no error warning? That is thoroughly bogus. The ordinary sample of 1,000 people with 3%-4% error is bad enough, but this is the worst since, well, the last abuse.

I reply:
No, thanks for the stats, but obviously then it's relevant to a hundred different posts. I do that kind of thing on occasion, in part because I don't want to hear stupid replacement speculation. A little drunken with revelation last night, deeper than what was posted.
Mark:
Yeah my next guess was you played debate bingo a little too long lol... Candidate replacement seems like occams razor over your hopiumesque theory... no offense.
Do you really think that the precedence of doubling down on stupid will suddenly change? They're likely to keep him on ticket til he drops dead. I'll be amazed if he's still breathing by Oct tho. You seem to have a lot more faith that invisible good people are doing good things in positions of power, contrary to all visual evidence.
I:
I did.
I don't think that the 25th is necessarily the top scenario, though some strategists will convince themselves it is. The point of my article is to say that there is no escape; and candidate replacement at the convention level will only further make the enemy flee seven ways. However, the Democrats must realize, and there must necessarily be a back-channel communication ongoing among the many smoke-filled rooms, that a compromise would be for the D to remove Biden and for the R to remove Harris simultaneously and install Trump.
On reflection, I know that not everything can get into an immediate reaction piece, and so I admit it would be a hard road (optically and logically) for Harris both to participate in the 25th and agree to be disqualified; but Pence did something similarly conflicted. Harris would not be 47, anymore than Cheney was 44, but it's possible she could be (optically) Acting President for a time and also be (optically) impeached in the same rapid timeframe.
The primary point is that the Republican caucus, being on high alert, has been taking steps to make it very very easy to replace the Speaker, and the threat is often bigger than the execution. If someone makes a trigger action, Trump could be on his way to that secured Capitol in minutes, and there would be no need for anyone to look back. He can always hand the gavel over to someone else in November if they didn't need to act out the rest of the threat. Or earlier if they did.
Since the enemy must realize that threat, must have been obsessed with it the last 17 months, they can only speak of the 25th privately as a negotiating chip, a threat of their own that actually means a capitulation of the whole war, even if they speak of it publicly as having real benefit to a narrative other than Biden 46 Trump 47. Trump clearly intends the air of inevitability, and this setup (compared here to zugzwang) has all the markings of a sprung trap.
