Call off the wedding. I know this sounds like an overreaction but it's not. She doesn't respect you and she's submissive and obedient to the State not you. Your marriage won't last very long if you do go through with it. If it does last long, you won't be too happy in it.

I would say this borders on a cult but not all cults are necessarily bad in what they achieve.

I would say academia and the mainstream news are the biggest and most harmful cults in modern society.
