My mom kept all of my old books, handed them down to my kids, and now my 3yo granddaughter has them. My son-in-law's family did the same, as did my husband's mom! Child has her own library! LOL The duplicates we share out with friends who have kids.

"Brown bear, brown bear, what do you see?" OMG what a great one! :) Yes, those books are all great.

LOL My mama told me, "Believe 1/2 of what you see and NONE of what you hear!"

"Alan Lloyd, an organizer with the Maui Tenants Association, a project of Hawaii Workers Center, said over the last week, the group’s hotline has received 10 to 15 calls per day from renters who say they’ve received notices to vacate.

Lloyd calls it a second wave of people about to be uprooted from their homes after the fire left thousands homeless in an already tight housing market.

“It’s really an eviction storm,” he said. “It’s the worst of the worst, because it puts everyone in crisis.”

A 45-day notice sent to a renter on a month-to-month lease isn’t technically an eviction. And tenants do have some recourse.

They can look online to see if their landlord has listed their unit for rent, which would indicate the property owner isn’t really using it for a family member, Lloyd said. In that case, the tenant could write a letter contesting the notice to vacate."

Just had grilled NY strips for dinner. Locally sourced, if course! Burgers on the grill for dinner tomorrow!

Stopped listening to radio when country sold out to pop & rap. I have all my "oldies," and even my kids prefer the older, REAL country music.

Clarendon-Linden fault line. If irc the last one was at like 6am as well, back in the 80's. My dog woke me up going nuts, just before it happened.

I WISH eggs were that cheap here. Pay an arm and a leg, and that is even if they have any in stock! Thankfully son & daughter in law raise ducks and my in laws have chickens, so here's to their health!

I love to hate Turkish get ups! Started them in physical therapy after a compression fracture of lower lumbar spine. They will work muscles you didn’t even know you owned! Just set up a home gym for MMA training with my daughter.

Same. Will have to try turning off wifi. Thought it was because I moved from a Comcast area to a Cox one.

This is so funny. Our family rule is, anyone going to the movies has to bring popcorn home for mom! It’s the only time I eat it!

I saw it hyped up, but the trailers alone creeped me out for some reason! No interest in watching it at all. I usually enjoy a good horror or dystopian tale.

On my iPad, it defaults to the bottom of the page. I have to scroll up on every new page. Dunno why, used to it now…

SW Arizona, here. Husband drives patrol around the county. Just made the comment, yesterday, that lots were looking pretty empty, especially the new lots. Used cars are there, but not nearly as many as there was maybe a month ago!

Unless you live here, in the desert, no one understands the phrase""it's too hot to swim!" I have't left the AC in about 4 days now. It's gonna be late night swimming for a while, I think!
