How do you accomplish #1? Quite simply, just ask for it. It is freely given. You do not have to “earn” it, you do not have to go to church, you do not have to do anything except make a free will choice to ask for it. God doesn't force anything on to you - if you ask, it is given. If you don't, it is not. You have free will which is respected at all times: make your choice and enjoy the consequences.
How do you accomplish #2? Also very simple: avoid harming anybody, at any cost. I was unable to tangibly connect the two: why would you have to accept what he had done for it to work - has he done it or not? What does your “acceptance” of his actions have to do with anything?!
And tonight it hit me: by accepting what Jesus Christ had done. you are using your free will to redirect your karmic debt onto Jesus. Thereby depleting your karmic debt and being “saved.”
