AS someone who worked in emergency services for 50 years and the 911 operator was confused she needs to be fired, 911 operators need to be able to handle all calls very quickly, no matter what the emergency is, when I heard was was said, I blew a gasket, how fuckin stupid can you be? We had a pilot eject from a fighter in my town, the plane then hit the lobby of a hotel causing a tremulous fire, killing people in the hotel, the 911 operator didn't question the caller of what happened, she reacted immediately. I have NO compassion for not being able to react under fire, these folks are our first line of defense in an emergency, PERIOD!

The Government pays big bucks for these companies to host events to show how fucked up they are and how to fix their fuckups! This particular company will evaluate how a corporation performs during an exercise, then come up with recommendations on how to fix the Gaps in their security or planning if something happens to them. Most of the time the bean counters say, hey it's too expensive to do anything, so it's basically a waste of money and the folks at companies like EARTHEX get rich.
So, as a former evaluator of these type of exercises it is important to have them to find the gaps in the infrastructural to protect them, or plan for worse case scenario's.
