After ww2 there was an investigation into how the nazi got the German people to go along with there program. It was discovered that propaganda played a large role in it. So congress passed the Smith-Mundt act, that made it illegal to use propaganda on the US citizens. In 2012 President Obama signed the National defense authorization act, in it was the repeal of the Smith-Mundt act, if they didn't want to use propaganda on us they would never have repealed it. So since 2013 our news has been nothing but propaganda, knowing this sorta changes your perspective doesn't it.
