You can only be deceived if you've already decided that "AI" can't lie. On the plus side, I can see this driving more face-to-face interaction and handshake deals. Once you know you are dealing with a human, your natural skills will kick in.
We should certainly consider AI to replace most all lower level government workers first. Working our way up the ladder. I can see dept of motor vehicles as an AI kiosk. Then start replacing anyone who doesn’t deal directly with the custumer... us.
AI should tell the truth by default. It lies because it's being programed to lie.
