If they can’t confirm the subject’s details such as lot, injection site (clinic), pathology, or contact details, the reports often don’t get followed up on.
By law, if a Pfizer employee becomes aware of a potential adverse event, they’re required to follow up within 48 hours (with the exception of weekends usually). I’m not sure their specifics but JnJ has the same rules to follow.

Seems like the real number is 1800, as indicated by the term "expected total".
I might be wrong, but I think it makes more sense to lead with the lower(but still large) number.
It kinda takes the punch out of it if you lead with a larger number and then have to backpedal.
That's how the fact checkers get us, too. Might as well try to get out ahead of them!
There were over 2 million reports according to openvaers. These would include all companies making vaccines though.
