I'd been to Notre Dame many years before that and I cried as I watched the flames. Then their demonic president Macron said they'll "rebuild in the modern way" by replacing the roof and spire with a giant glass and metal abomination. Everything good and beautiful must be replaced by ugliness, that is their motto.

This is a good example of why Church and State should be separate, because in England, the Anglican church is the state church, lead directly by the monarch. The UK really either needs to go full Democracy, or full Monarchy, a constitutional monarch is really the worst of both.

The UK does not have a separation of church and state, bishops and archbishops can sit in the house of lords to legislate on law.
