I've been watching the Hawaii Real Estate Channel's live feeds multiple times a day to keep up with what is going on in Maui. Someone was kind enough to give him a Starlink and he has been traversing the island to show the world what is going on. The locals have not seen the government helping them. All help has been from other locals mostly from each other and Molokai. They are still in a complete communications blackout which means no cell service or internet. The only way to get internet is via Starlink.
Tulsi said there is absolutely no excuse for what is going on. She is saying there are so many resources from the government that can be deployed to help Maui and it's just not happening.
It's quite infuriating.
Although I'm a first time poster, I hope this post isn't ignored. I feel called to do my small part to help get huge eyes on these channels. Help spread the word to the world!

2nd video at 7:00 the guy said that there was no water pressure to put out the fires. Even fire department had no water.
The woke "water deputy" wouldn't release water to save Lāhainā.
Maui water pumps can work without HECO power. They use backup diesel generators.
Yes he has said in the past that the use of water resources require a conversation about equity first.

Thank you for sharing OP. I watched the links and wanted to see more. This particular video from Hawaii Real Estate, where he interviewed a well known local name Fish, is unreal.
Fish says that the police wouldn't let people in cars go through. He walked up to the officer and was told that those were his orders. Fish continued walking to safety while cars stayed at a standstill. He's pretty based too.
