If I wanted a hyper-loyal, self effacing and steadfast person to be my undercover ally, Mike Pence definitely seems like the one I'd want. Spread some rumors, get him called out and get muddied up.. I mean think about it this way... the "self righteous, smug Christian guy" is the perfect fall guy to fall from grace and backstab the political American Jesus. The left would eat that up for breakfast lunch and dinner. They'd give 3 million pieces of silver to make that happen. And Pence is reserved and controlled enough to pull it off.

I mean everyone has their demons they fight, and I'm sure working with Trump can be extremely hard at times so perhaps he's faking it all, but I don't know. He has consistently heaped sincere and unprompted volumes of praise on Trump over the years. I can't see Pence not having talked about his concerns months ago, not springing on Trump last minute. It feels like a chirade.
