Once you kick it your old passions will return. And although goals are good, you won’t even want to drink later on. Your health, physical and mental will increase and you’ll regain self-worth and pride. Depression is a constant as a drinker, but it too will lessen until your brain chemistry rebalances. You get past detox and it’s smooth sailing Fren 💕😎🇺🇸 Edit; a big part of staying sober is losing old patterns of daily life ie reminders of people, places & things that “haunt” you from your time as a drinker. If you drink with others…that’s the hard part cuz THEY don’t want a fellow drinker to change. You won’t get support from them. Some people love AA because they’re surrounded by those on the same path, and had to change their old patterns. Also, think of it as a life or death quest (it IS)…there’s a spiritual side to this too so LEAN ON GOD to get you through the hard times. He’s there for all of us but you gotta WANT His love?! He ALWAYS delivers 👍🏽
