Possible dis-info campaign, to capture all of the funds (to be donated to "charities") that would have otherwise been refunded.

See Syrinx posts here and here.

Summary:

GoFundMe might challenge those charge-backs as fraudulent (under the grounds that charge-backs might only be allowed if refunds are not an option), thus tying up your money until after the February 17th deadline (meaning they would have donated it to a 'charity' prior to you getting a chance to asking for a refund).

Apparently arbitration (or maybe lawsuit?) might be an option, which brings a lot of upfront costs to the individual (while incurring costs to GoFundMe as well).
