Um no, it’s to avoid the shills, trolls, and Doomers. Ask yourself are you one?

I shill for no one (not a shill), I never intentionally start shit (not a troll), and I have a more positive, less fearful outlook than ever before in my life (not a doomer). However, I have been called all three of those things more times than I can count, because I very often see things differently and/or have dissenting opinions. If I can't offer a dissenting opinion to your posts without "being removed" then you should not have the power to be a mod.

The subject of Suicide I happen to know an extreme amount about.

Who doesn't? It's a harsh world.

So I’m not going to put up with Doomer, Shill, dumbass shit here.

By whose measure? What does that even mean? If I offer a dissenting opinion that I think is thoughtful, and perhaps others do as well, does that make me a shill? How about a doomer? You might think so, because "you know an extreme amount" about the topic at hand. Thus any ideas outside of your "extreme amount" of knowledge could very well constitute such activity in your mind.

Being a mod is a responsibility. If you think you have the right to play god with thoughts and opinions, you should not be one, or at the least take a step back and consider what it means to be one.

it’s against the rules and most of Our Mods Ban for less.

Yes they do. I have seen several instances of it happening in a very frightening way. (People being banned when the justification seems a personal assessment and abuse of power). I get that being a mod is not easy, but abuse of power is such an easy path to take for those who have it. It is how we, as in We The People, got here.

Censorship is never justified. Justifying it is always disgusting. Saying "everyone else does it" doesn't make it any better, in fact it makes it far worse.
