It is sad to realize that the noble Idea of America, that for decades was held up to the rest of the world as the shinning example, is vastly different from the reality of America. The truth is very ugly. The vast majority of American citizens have been unaware of the crimes that have been committed around the world in their name. Even more sad is the fact that many of those same people don't care simply because the atrocities take place so far from their own doorsteps - out of sight, out of mind. In addition, for a large portion of our lives, we have been the beneficiaries of those actions taken in the pursuit of hegemony and global dominance that have left untold destruction in its wake. There has been no incentive to call out or stop what has made our lives easier at the cost of destroying others. We cannot claim ignorance because it was our job as citizens to know what was being done by those we placed in positions of power to act on our behalf. We simply went about living our lives oblivious to the truth. Putin is merely pointing out the truth for anyone willing to listen. I believe that many of his speeches are directed at us - the American citizens - in hope that we will hear the message and change course.

I do not see this as a bad thing - at least for the rest of the world. Putin is right when he says that for far too long the world has been moving towards a unipolar single governance dictated by the collective West with the US as the supremacy at the geopolitical helm. This governance is incompatible with a diversity of cultures, economies, and political systems. Sensing the weakness of the US, we are witnessing the world seizing the moment to break away from the fate that seemed to have been declared upon them - a fate for purposes of preserving the hegemony that cared little for the wellbeing of those being exploited to continue down the road of global technocracy.

The dying collective West has been like a runaway train headed towards a wall of destruction hell bent on taking the rest of the world down with it - all so they can build back better and remake the world in their image. Countries like Russia have realized that America itself, meaning her people, has not been able to rid herself of the parasites sucking the very life out of her. These countries can no longer wait for America and the collective West to right their own ships. In the face of destruction, the West continues to put their foot on the gas and accelerate. The rest of the world has simply decided to get off the ride and leave the West to its own destruction.
