"the post was pretty long" Hehe. That's either my great strength, or my fatal flaw. I find it hard to do short and snappy (pithy) posts that garner the quick energy of the board. But also, I'm less interested in those. I like to flesh out and work through logic, ideas, thinking etc. Being trained in academic paper writing doesn't help I guess.

"people are rather heavily (ahem) invested in the topic" Yeah, that's for sure. And, I don't really mind that. I'm looking forward to posting more and might make this a series. At least, to give the topic a good airing.
