I'm not 100% with you on that. I think the greatest joy will come from not lying to yourself and not buying into the socially popular ideals just because they're socially popular.

Some people want to be a slut. I'm not going to say that's fine, but if it's what they truly want it's going to make them happier than following a set of rules laid out for them.

It's essentially the inverse of what the author outlined as her own rigid rules in the article. It doesn't take a leap to see why one might not like that or find happiness in that, either.

Ultimately the only way we find our happiness is to make our own ways, make mistakes, learn from them, learn about ourselves and improve ourselves. And we'll never get there if we're lying to ourselves.
