I heard an old saying that I feel sums it all up well - men are waffles and women are spaghetti.

Men have compartmentalized thinking. They can concentrate on one box at a time without being distracted. While in a particular box, men have the ability to focus on what is in that box with an intensity that most women seem to lack. But at the same time, most men cannot deal with another box until the one they are currently in is put back on the shelf - career box, family box, wife box, sex box, fishing box, etc. Men tend to stay in the box that gives them the most satisfaction while avoiding those boxes that are less satisfying. They also have the ability to not be in any box at all and just be - something most women can't fathom. I call it box decompression.

Women live lives where everything is connected to everything else in the bowl. Its a tangled mess to the average man trying to figure it out - and I think at times to women themselves. The sauce that clings it all together is emotion. Thier mind is able to go many places at the same time and not get dizzy from the experience. This connectiveness gives them the ability to multitask working with different strings of spaghetti all at the same time that would bring the average man to a complete standstill. Read the proverbs women in Proverbs 31. That women has a lot going on.

So, God made men and women different. Different, not just on the outside, but he wired our brains differently as well - all to serve different purposes that are supposed to work together for the whole. I think when men and women can finally see our sexual uniqueness beyond just biology and biological function, fully appreciating those qualities unique to their own sex, and can see and appreciate the unique differences in the other, then we may be able to get past some of the BS attempts at homogenization that ultimately are destroying both.
